The Fool in a spread tells us that a new cycle or phase of life is about to begin. We need to learn not to fear taking risks. It puts us on notice, so to speak, that a new phase or cycle is about to begin whether or not we are risk takers by nature.

The Fool's appearance in a spread indicates that, we are most certainly going to be faced with events that require us to do so.

It is time to abandon our old ways especially if they are outdated and try something new. Do not be afraid of experiences that make you uncomfortable, for they can be the building blocks for our future. Always be strong and listen to your inner voice; don't listen to others at this time. To thine own self be true.

This is not to say that when the Fool appears that we should rush in blindly. We still need to examine goals, actions, and even our desires. The Fool is more about the willingness to explore, and usually in a way that is very much different from our past methods. This is not the time for being complacent and set in our ways. It is the time to take our own counsel and meditate upon the new thoughts that are entering our consciousness.
