Foundation

Yesod is the channel through which Tiphereth strives to unite with the Shekinah and pass on the creative and benevolent divine forces.

This Foundation is the Astral Realm located just above the Material World. It is in this realm that manifestation has almost reached Physical Form.

In the Biblical sense he was seen as Joseph.

Primordial man imagined this Sephirah symbolized as the male phallus, sanctified through the covenant of circumcision.

It is associated with the following Names of God:

• El Shaddai (God Almighty).
• Adonai (Master).
• Elohim Hayyim (The Living God), Eternal Life.
• The point at the bottom tip of the Vav in the Tetragrammaton

Other images and symbols associated with Yesod are:

• The Tree of Life.
• The Source of Living Waters.
• The Righteous One.
• Peace
• Remembrance.
• Lower Chesed.
