Shekinah is one of many female magicians schooled in the ancient tradition know as "Transcendental Magick", "The Sacred Magick" and "Magick" to name but a few. The final "k" in the word magick is to set it apart from the common slight-of-hand magic used on stage This philosophy is well known as "Kabbalah" or "Qabalah". Adopting as its symbol the "Tree of Life". It is not just a philosophy but a way of life that must be lived. This is an ever growing, flexible, and adaptable Life-Pattern capable of indefinite extensions throughout Life Itself in all states and existences. The main creed, so to speak, is "Know Thyself". To this end the magician works day and night to reach his highest potential. The Quest is to reach Conversation with Your Guardian Angel, who in reality is Your Higher Self. The part of your being that is the spark of life. The "Light" within our being. The main concept of the Tree is that it is a symbolic representation of the relationships that are believed to exist between the most abstract of all Divinity and the most concrete aspects of humanity. Simply stated, "As above, so below". Sort of like a Family Tree, which links God and Man together with Angels and other Beings as a complete conscious creation. Since all this is symbolic, we need to gain knowledge of the meaning and applications of each symbol, so that the Tree can be more than just lines and dots on a piece of paper. We must experience the growth of our Inner Self within the tree. Interest in the Kabbalah has resurfaced for me after being in the background for so many years. Now I am becoming aware that this is also true for many people the world over. My special friend The Raven answers to the name of "Jae" and it is symbolic for a very special Spirit Guide, Angel or Power Animal, that has been around for as long as I can remember. He will be the one to guide me in this project. He is fond of music and communicates with music most of the time. I guess he could be called a teacher, but he is much more. He is my guide, teacher, protector, companion and best friend. My thoughts for this subject, since it is simple and yet complicated to explain at the same time, is to write a new lesson on the Kabbalah on a monthly basis. Today I want to leave you with an brief introduction the Four Major Archangels of the Kabbalah. They are very important in this philosophy. |
East --Archangel Raphael -- Air
