Binah refers to the analytic, distinguishing aspects of God's thought. The realm of Form.

It is the uppermost feminine element in the Godhead, and is symbolized as the mother of the Shekinah in Malkuth. Many of the symbols associated with Binah are therefore identical to those of the Shekinah.

Having received the seed from Chockmah,Binah conceived and gave birth to the seven lower Sephiroth.

In the Biblical sense she was seen as The Matriarch Leah.

Primordial man imagined this essence to be found in the human Forehead.

It is associated with the following Names of God:

Elohim.
The Hebrew letter "he" in the four-letter name of God , known as the "Tetragrammaton".

Supernal Mother.
Supernal Shekinah.
Womb.
Supernal Justice.
Redemption.
Repentance.
