Saturn

The goal for Saturn is reaching perfection. The process by which it attempts to reach its goal is through the chastening process of testing, sorrow, delay, disappointment, limitation and privation. By experiencing these qualities, man learns the purpose of life is not pleasure but to gain experience, patience, humility, wisdom and compassion.

It destroys the old, worn out, useless forms so that better, more beautiful, useful and adaptable forms may replace them.

Through experience, patience, persistence, and self-discipline we can transmute the negative Saturn qualities of skepticism, fear, materialism, suppression and self-preservation into the positive qualities of confidence, reverence, dependability, wisdom and compassion.

Looking within in silent meditation we can obtain guidance, if we are willing to wait. This of course requires a lot of patience. Saturn helps us to pass the test of life and finally enables us to reach the perfection we must all attain in the process of evolution.
